GOAL 2: The learner will demonstrate knowledge of United States history in order to understand life and events in the past and how they relate to the present and future. Based on State Standards, the following objectives will be met by teaching the areas of: Three Worlds Meet (to 1620); Colonization and Settlement (1585-1763); Revolution and the New Nation (1754-1820); Expansion and Reform (1801-1861); Civil War and Reconstruction.
