F.I.T. (Focused Intervention Team) is a district-wide program that is implemented Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. My specific teaching role is to provide intensive reading intervention for students so that they have increased success in their classrooms. In small groups, students learn and practice reading strategies that will help them become stronger readers and writers.
At UES, I’m also known for being a bookworm, so students and teachers often come to me for book recommendations. I get so excited when students get passionate about reading and start to LOVE books! I believe ALL students can see themselves as “readers!” My personal goal is to help students develop stronger reading skills and to instill the LOVE of books.
