🗳️ Student Government at UES

At Upper Elementary School, our Student Government program empowers students to become active participants in their school community while developing essential leadership and citizenship skills.

🎯 Purpose & Goals

The Student Government provides students with opportunities to:

  • Represent their peers and promote student voice

  • Collaborate on school-wide events and initiatives

  • Practice responsibility, teamwork, and decision-making

  • Foster school spirit and a sense of pride in our UES community

🧑‍🏫 Structure

  • Student Government includes elected representatives from each grade level

  • Roles may include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Class Representatives

  • Meetings are held regularly during the school day to plan events, discuss student ideas, and work with staff sponsors

🎉 Events & Activities

Past Student Government initiatives have included:

  • Spirit Weeks and School-Wide Challenges

  • Fundraisers for community causes

  • Support for school events like the World Culture Festival and Field Day

  • Initiatives to improve the school environment and promote kindness

💬 Family Support

We encourage families to talk with their child about the importance of leadership, responsibility, and active participation. Student Government is a meaningful way for students to build confidence, contribute to their school, and learn the value of service.
