Delayed Opening

There may be times when North Hanover Township Schools open on a delayed schedule due to inclement weather or other emergencies. Our priority is always to ensure the safety of our students and staff while maintaining consistency in learning.

📢 How You’ll Be Notified

In the event of a delayed opening, families will be notified through:

  • District-wide phone, text, and email alerts 

  • District website: www.nhanover.com 

Be sure your contact information is accurate in Genesis to receive timely alerts.

🚌 Bus Transportation

  • Buses will run exactly 2 hours later than your child’s normal pickup time.

  • Please arrive at the stop 10 minutes before the adjusted pickup time.

🏫 UES School Hours During Delayed Openings

  • Regular start time: 7:45 AM

  • Delayed start time: 9:45 AM

  • Doors open for student arrival at 9:35 AM

  • Dismissal remains unchanged at 3:25 PM

Please note: There is no AM CARE or AM preschool on delayed opening days.

🍽️ Meals & Adjusted Schedules

  • Lunch will be served as usual.

  • Specials and instructional periods may be shortened or adjusted to fit the abbreviated day.
