  • Families will receive advance notice of any upcoming field trips, including location, cost (if any), transportation, and what students need to bring.

  • Permission for students to attend field trips will be signed on genesis portal at the beginning of the year. students must have this signed to participate.

  • Students not attending a trip will participate in alternative learning activities at school with another homeroom.

  • Typically students will not visit the gift shop at the field trip location. If students will have the opportunity to purchase items on the field trip advance notice will be provided to parents.

🩺 Health & Safety

👨‍👩‍👧 Parent Volunteers

Occasionally, teachers may request parent volunteers to support student supervision on field trips. If you’re interested, please let your child’s teacher know. Due to safety, space, and planning considerations, not all volunteers may be selected. Teachers may select parent volunteers using a system of their choice.
If selected as a chaperone, parents will be expected to comply with all school policies and supervision guidelines.

  • You’ll be asked to remain with your assigned student group at all times.

  • Cell phone use should be limited to emergencies even for volunteers as they should be actively engaging with students.

  • Younger siblings may not attend.

  • Please respect student confidentiality and follow staff instructions throughout the trip.

  • Parent volunteers should refrain from taking their student away from the group to provide special treats or visit gift shops.
